Classic Wrap Up:  Jay Yelas Takes It All

Birmingham, AL:  7/28/2002 - Jay Yelas wrapped up his three day fishing school on Lay Lake and walked away with the $200,000 top prize for a paycheck.  The momentum created during the first two days never let up as he managed to weigh in with 4 fish totaling 10 lbs 11 oz.  One of the four largemouth and spotted bass, a 4 lb  13 oz largemouth, was enough to also sweep the biggest bass competition for all three days yielding him still another $3000. 

Jay's three day total was 45 lbs 13 oz.  Aside his family, Jay exclaimed "This is just the thrill of a lifetime for me.  I can't tell you how much this means to my career and me personally."  "Winning the classic makes your career as a professional fisherman.", he added.
