"On Behalf of a Grateful Nation"

USSFN 11/11/2002 - Today we pause to honor and remember those who held what we stand for so dear that they put their lives on the line to preserve it.  Closer to home, I will think of my father (Korea), my brother (Thailand, Viet Nam), my uncle (Normandy), and countless more that served in our nation's wars.  I would give anything to be able to tell them today how much we appreciate what they did to make it possible for our freedom to endure still.

from the song: "Some Gave All" by Billy Ray Cyrus

"...I can't forget the look in his eyes,  or the tears he cried,  as he said these words to me:
All gave some...some gave all...
Some stood through for the red, white, and blue,
and some had to fall,
And if you ever think of me, think of all your liberties and recall...some gave all..."

To the men and women who served, to those who died, to those who were wounded, to those who returned, and to those who are still prisoners of war, to those who are still missing in action...

WE SALUTE YOU.  WE WILL NEVER FORGET.  - Jim
